Mutual Aid SKC&E Covid19, also known as skcemutualaid, is an incredible collective of compassionate individuals dedicated to building community care and power in King County. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, this group emerged to provide crucial support to those affected by the crisis. Their mission is to create intentional community support during these challenging times. In order to sustain their important work, they require $10,000 per month. By becoming a patron and encouraging your neighbors and friends to join, you can actively contribute to supporting our communities. Mutual Aid SKC&E Covid19 prioritizes assisting survivors, sick and disabled individuals, immunocompromised individuals, undocumented individuals, black communities, queer and trans communities, indigenous communities, and people of color in South King County and Eastside. They offer various resources, including safety planning for survivors, groceries, bill payment assistance, and fundraising initiatives for those in need. What sets this collective apart is their commitment to centering their work in abolition – recognizing that those most impacted by systems of power must be at the forefront of creating new ways of caring for each other. They firmly believe that our liberation and wellbeing are interconnected.
