Little Skein (Anne & Kathy)

Little Skein is a book club for yarn-loving adults who are passionate about books, making things by hand, and anti-racism. The club, led by Anne Vally and Kathy Clark, aims to create a community among diverse makers who love books, yarn, and equity. They focus on reading diverse kids' books written in #ownvoices for middle grades and young adults. By exploring these stories, Little Skein provides windows, mirrors, and sliding glass doors to understand and challenge dominant white-centered culture. They believe that reading diverse books is a critical way to become more informed and brave about race and racial justice. Join Little Skein's book club and get inspired together as they unravel the need for a softer, better world for Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and all those pushed to the margins.
