Ijumaa Jordan & Megan Pamela Ruth Madison

Ijumaa Jordan and Megan Pamela Ruth Madison, known as ijumaamegan, are creators on Patreon who are dedicated to creating anti-bias education resources. With a wealth of experience in the field of education, Ijumaa focuses on reflective practice, culturally relevant teaching, and developing anti-bias curriculum for young children and adults. As a member of Harvest Resources Associates, she facilitates professional development through a "community of practice" model that promotes reflective teaching practices and leadership. With over twenty years of teaching and directing experience in early education, Ijumaa brings her expertise to keynote presentations and workshops. Additionally, she serves as an Adjunct Instructor, mentoring students in various areas such as play across the life span, cross-cultural communication, language development, and children's literacy. Megan's journey began as an assistant in a Waldorf elementary school before becoming a lead teacher in a Head Start preschool classroom. Currently pursuing her Ph.D. in social policy at Brandeis University, Megan works part-time as a trainer affiliated with The Human Root and facilitates workshops on racial equity and social justice. She holds a master's degree in early childhood education and is deeply involved in advocating for diversity and equity within the field. Together, Ijumaa and Megan are committed to promoting inclusive education practices and making a positive impact on the lives of educators and students alike.
