Matej Tále is a wandering musician, representing the genre of social folk. In his songs, you will find lyrical and realistic reports not only from our cottages, housing estates, valleys, mountains, or forgotten districts, but also case studies about society as a whole. Matej is not afraid to use his rural common sense and forecast what awaits us around the corner. The protagonists of Matej's songs are mostly individual heroes - unaware citizens on a trip to Ostrý Grúň, orphaned son of a drug-addicted mother, conspiracy theorist husband, lost Táňa from the Poltár district, or one-legged tank driver Sergej - all trying to come to terms with the reality of the Slovak landscape. In late 2020, I released an acoustic demo TADETO: you can find it on YouTube here and on Spotify there. During 2020, I had the *luck* to be invited to interesting events such as the concert 'Streamom proti fašizmu' broadcasted from Istrochem's cellar under the auspices of the underground club Kulturák in Bratislava during the pandemic. I also performed at summer festivals like Tužina Groove near Prievidza, Woodna Stock in Poráčska Dolina, city festival FRAJ in Rimavská Sobota, and other beautiful places. I had a series of performances with the project 'Potulná Galéria' (Wandering Gallery), including several interesting locations throughout Slovakia; the main idea of the gallery was to fight against extremism and strengthen mutual understanding. I had an amazing concert at Garáže in Bratislava, opening for the phenomenal band Mucha.
