Cetus - Belly of the Whale

Cetus, also known as Belly of the Whale, is a talented creator on Patreon who specializes in visual art. Their remarkable work revolves around a unique project that aims to bring attention to the issue of plastic pollution and its impact on our oceans. Inspired by the constellation Cetus, which rises just below Mars every evening at dusk, this creator embarked on a transformative journey to create a sculpture from the steel carcass of an 8-meter long Humpback Whale. The sculpture symbolizes the process of metamorphosis, where external forces become internal, ideas take form, and change becomes possible. To connect with the landscape and reverse the damage done to our seas and society, Cetus and their collaborator Grace Emily Manning performed rituals within the Belly of the Whale.
