Cal Dobbs

Cal Dobbs is a passionate and inspiring queer transgender ultramarathoner and long-distance hiker. Their mission is to fight for inclusion of transgender people in sports and access to gender affirming healthcare. Cal has achieved remarkable feats, including being the first known transgender person to complete the Triple Crown of hiking, covering nearly 8,000 miles across the three premier National Scenic Trails. As a high school teacher and coach, former collegiate runner, and competitive ultramarathoner, Cal brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to their content creation. They have a diverse skill set in blogging, vlogging, public speaking, podcasts, and modeling/photography in the outdoor industry. Cal's dedication to making a positive impact extends beyond their athletic pursuits. They are also devoted to their two silly dogs and actively involved in their local community. Born and raised in Venice, California, Cal's love for running began on the sandy beaches and in the ocean waves. With an unwavering passion for adventure and self-discovery, they embarked on an incredible journey through the Triple Crown of hiking and are now preparing to fulfill their lifelong dream of running across America.
