Founded and led by Todd Friedman, this 77-acre farm is a dream come true for both him and the animals he cares for. With years of experience as a volunteer and caregiver at a farm sanctuary, Todd understands the importance of providing a safe and nurturing environment for his animal residents. His dedication to their well-being is evident in everything he does. At Arthurs Acres, Todd focuses on one particular group of animals: pigs. With his extensive knowledge of pig rescue, care, and advocacy, he aims to offer these intelligent creatures a forever home, hospice care, and support through education and advocacy efforts. The journey to starting Arthurs Acres began when Todd met Arthur, a young piglet who was the last survivor at a former "farm to table" facility. Determined not to leave without him, Todd's determination and compassion led to Arthur becoming the first resident of the sanctuary. Now, Arthur will have the opportunity to live a life filled with love, companionship, and comfort. Todd's vision is not without its challenges, but with the support of his experienced friends and connections in the sanctuary community, he is ready to take on whatever comes his way.
